Explanations about the information I provide about sculptures
Material: is described as accurately as possible. If I am uncertain about the material I mark with *.
Generally Jesmonite, granite and marble that is treated with sealant can be left outside and will weather slowly, as demonstrated by many of our stone buildings. Wood, alabaster, limestone and other soft stones is generally treated with wax and needs to be protected from the elements.
Size: is quoted in millimetres [25.4 millimetres equates to one inch], in the order: height, width, depth. The measurements are approximate and include the base, where there is one shown.
Finish: describes the finish I have used. I am happy to advise on future care.
Year: is generally the year I completed the work; if I give a range that is start to finish. As you will see, the pieces are of various ages. I started putting sculptures up for sale on this website in 2021.
